I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I started working here at Gertmenian in June of 2018 through a temp agency and got hired into the company in October of that same year. I’ve learned so much here at Gertmenian, from assembling the racks, how to pick and pack orders for costumers, loading and offloading containers. Now I’m taking on a new task and working in our sample department displaying our new and up and coming rugs to our customers here in Los Angeles and in New York. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and in 1998 I was given the opportunity to work in a small warehouse in Cypress Park at Gertmenian. With hard work and the support of management and my fellow coworkers, I was able to go from a simple warehouse worker to the Director of Warehouse Operations. I execute daily warehouse operations, which include overseeing the arrival of all merchandise and the shipments of orders – to make sure all our customers, both our retail partners and online consumers, receive only the best quality of rugs. Gertmenian & Sons was established in the United States in 1896, in Binghamton, New York. The company came to California in 1918. Through all these years, it has been owned by one family. The present managing partner, Peter Gertmenian, is the great grandson of the founder. He is assisted by a team of professionals who specialize in business finance, warehouse operations, information technology, product design, packaging, importing, and logistics.
